  • Listen for the prompt and then enter your voice mail PIN (password)

If you are dialing from any other campus phone or an off-campus phone:

  • Dial 5-8168 from a campus phone or (617) 495-8168 from any other phone
  • Press # to indicate you are a subscriber
  • Enter your 5-digit mailbox number

How do I set up my voice mail box?

After you sign up for voice mail service, you will be sent an informational packet to your campus address by University mail. This package includes your 5-digit voice mail box number, a temporary password that allows you to log in for the first time, and a printed Voice Mail User Guide. You will need this information to initialize (set up) your voice mailbox.

Can I take over an existing voice mail box?

Yes.  Please request that your department telephone contact ask for that mailbox to be deleted and re-installed so that you can customize your voice mail preferences and update the name that goes along with the mail box.

How do I sign up for voice mail?

Faculty/staff requests for voice mail service should be submitted by the designated telephone contact person for your department. If you don't know the name of your contact person, call Customer Support at (617) 495-4900.

When can I upgrade my smartphone?

All devices should be used for the life of a device.  Staff that have a Harvard-procured phone are encouraged to use the phone for the full service life. Upgrades to Harvard-owned phones should only occur in cases where technical or maintenance issues require replacement.
