Connect to the Harvard network

You must register your computer in order to use the Harvard network. When you first arrive on campus, connect to the Harvard network via either wired or wireless network and launch a web browser. You will be automatically redirected to the HUIT network registration utility, which will guide you through the steps to register your computer. You will need your HUID and PIN to register your computer or other devices.

Wireless

Connect to the Harvard University wi-fi network (SSID) and open a web browser. If you see a blank page, go to autoreg.harvard.edu and follow the steps on that page to register your computer with the network.

Wired Connections (On-Campus Residents Only)

Connect an ethernet cable from your computer to a data jack in your room and open a web browser. If you see a blank page, go to autoreg.harvard.edu and follow the steps on that page to register your computer with the network.

If the device you wish to connect to the network can't show a webpage - such as an Apple TV, Roku, PlayStation, XBox, or other consumer devices, you must manually register it with the network management system.

Note: Personal wireless routers are not allowed on the Harvard network
