Legacy ISDN Centrex Service is End of LIfe

As of January 1, 2020, ISDN services is no longer supported by Verizon. 

As of January 2020, Verizon will no longer accept orders for new installations or moves of ISDN service.  HUIT has been working with the schools and departments impacted by this notification to migrate these remaining ISDN phones to VOIP.  In addition to ISDN service, there are some circuits that will also no longer be supported.  We will reach out to the affected schools to work with you to disconnect or migrate these impacted circuits to another solution. ...

2019: A Big Year for IAM Upgrades

The HUIT IAM team accomplished several major upgrades to our services during 2019.

In mid-November, HarvardKey Authentication Services were upgraded. Both the Shibboleth Identity Provider service (IdP) and CAS were upgraded successfully.

The IAM Identity Registry was upgraded in October during a HUIT major maintenance window.

In June, the Group Services platform, Grouper, was upgraded to version 2.4.

Earlier in 2019, Sailpoint/IIQ also underwent a major version upgrade.

Celebrating Diversity at HUIT

November 22, 2019

Rangoli, homemade sweets, diya painting, henna tattoos, music, and a photo booth were just some of the highlights of the Harvard University IT (HUIT) Diwali celebration on November 4. What originally began as a small gathering among two teams in HUIT has grown into a popular HUIT-wide event.

Over the past year, HUIT has greatly increased its efforts to host multi-cultural events that celebrate the various backgrounds and perspectives of its diverse staff. These events take many forms and often include an educational and social component.

Private channels are now available in Microsoft Teams!

Private channels enable members of an existing Microsoft Team to create channels for sensitive or confidential content. Only members given access and channel owners can see private channels and their contents.
