This is a reminder that your RSA token for HUIT VPN has now expired and has been replaced with two-step verification on your HarvardKey account. To maintain your VPN access, please activate two-step verification. Step-by-step instructions can be found at http://huit.harvard.edu/twostep/mobile

You have been identified as the holder of an RSA token with administrative access. Please be aware that your RSA token will be retired on Monday, August 1, 2016 and replaced with Duo two-step verification on your HarvardKey account. Duo is a mobile application that you must download to replace the RSA token*.

Update 5/13: Verizon work stoppage

Update: Verizon Work Stoppage

HUIT continues to monitor the work and are communicating with customers whom work is impacted. 

Status:

  • Verizon’s priority continues to be with maintenance and repairs of existing critical services.
    • Repairs are taking longer than normal.
    • Access to campus for repairs has been expanded to after 5 PM and Verizon staff continues to be escorted.

El Capitan announcement

September 28, 2015

Apple will be releasing the latest version of their operating system, El Capitan, on September 30.  We currently recommend that you DO NOT upgrade to El Capitan for any computers used to access Harvard systems.  This operating system is not currently supported by HUIT.

HUIT will be testing El Capitan on all University applications. Once this testing has been completed and our applications have been certified to run in this new operating system, it will be made available to our user community.

Windows 10 announcement

July 30, 2015

Microsoft has just released the latest version of their operating system, Windows 10, on July 29. We currently recommend that you DO NOT upgrade to Windows 10 for any computers used to access Harvard systems.   This operating system is not currently supported by HUIT.

HUIT will be testing Windows 10 on all University applications. Once this testing has been completed and our applications have been certified to run in this new operating system, it will be made available to our user community.
