Research Administration Systems

Description

The portfolio of Research Administration Systems supports the University’s research enterprise from an administrative, financial, and compliance perspective in accordance with federal and Harvard policies and regulations. Search and Access to Library Resources

Description

The Harvard Library portal, online library catalog, electronic resource discovery platform, and specialized catalogs for searching and discovering content owned and/or licensed by Harvard Library, as well as open access and other freely available scholarly materials.

Description

Securely transmit large files to recipients within and outside Harvard.

Description

Video Conferencing

Description

Video conferencing uses both audio and video to allow people at different sites to get together over the Internet. This can be a conversation between just two people (point-to-point) or several people at multiple locations (multi-point). Besides just the audio and visual transmission of video conferencing, it can also be used to share documents and display information on your personal computer.  These features allow for improved collaboration, more personal engagement, content sharing and improved productivity all in a video solution.

Common FAQs

How do I sign up for voice mail?

Faculty/staff requests for voice mail service should be submitted by the designated telephone contact person for your department. If you don't know the name of your contact person, call Customer Support at (617) 495-4900.

 

What determines who is listed in the directory?

The policy is determined by the HUIT Identity and Access Management Product Manager, in conjunction with key stakeholders, such as Registrars and HR.  All active non-temporary employees are eligible to be listed. Some departments will also list non-employee affiliates working as consultants or contractors.  Students who are pursuing a degree or certificate are also eligible by the policies outlined in their local student handbooks.

Important dates

  • College and GSAS Students: After graduation, access and forwarding ends after 230 days.  Data and resources are deleted 30 days thereafter.
  • FAS Faculty:  Access to FAS online resources, including Office 365 email and calendar, will expire 30 days after the Faculty member's designated last day of work.  Data and resources are deleted 30 days thereafter.
