"I loved being a part of the IT Mentoring Program! As a new manager, I applied to be a part of the 2023 cohort for professional development. I was assigned to a fantastic circle of mentors and mentees with similar career goals for the program. Together, we built an inclusive and brave space for us to discuss work challenges, career growth strategies, and how to expand our leadership abilities. We developed communication and meeting schedules collaboratively, and in a way that worked for all of us. My favorite part of the program is the connections I’ve made within Harvard IT- both as part of my circle and at other program events. My day-to-day work experience can feel siloed, and I really appreciate the opportunity to meet with some many wonderful colleagues across Harvard schools! I would highly recommend others to join the program, especially if they are interested in expanding their Harvard networks, thinking critically about their career growth, and problem-solving with a group. I have continued to maintain my mentoring program relationships, and even was awarded a PAIF grant with a member of my circle! I found the experience very valuable and hope others will consider applying for the next cohort!"
