Scheduling is easier with Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace interoperability

Scheduling meetings with Harvard attendees on a different collaboration platform (Microsoft 365 or Google Workspace) used to require extra, manual steps because users of one platform could not see the calendar availability of users on the other platform.  HUIT has now launched new functionality to enable calendar users on Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace with g.harvard.edu email addresses to look up basic free/busy availability of attendees, regardless of which of these two Harvard platforms their meeting attendees use.  

Microsoft 365 users and Google Workspace users with g.harvard.edu email addresses can seamlessly check an attendee’s availability using their normal in-app workflow and without the need for third-party scheduling apps. When searching availability across platforms, users will only see basic free/busy information and not full calendar details.  Learn more about seeing someone’s calendar availability using Google or Outlook.
