Description

Eduroam (education roaming) is a secure worldwide federated network access service developed for the international research and education community.  This service provides per-user, per-session encrypted network access for visitors from participating institutions, without the need to gain guest credentials on arrival to an eduroam enabled location.

Harvard University ID (HUID) numbers and HarvardKey accounts are administered by HUIT as a secure means of identity authentication to access the Harvard secure network. Your HarvardKey account enables access to a wide range of online applications and services across the University using a single login name and password. You will need to know your HUID in order to claim your HarvardKey

FAS Mailing List Service

HUIT offers a mailing list service to FAS faculty and staff (using Mailman, an open-source mailing list system). While HUIT hosts and operates the Mailman service for its clients, individual faculty or staff members administer each list as the list owner.

Mailman allows list subscribers and owners to utilize and manage a robust bulk mailing platform using a web interface or by sending email-based commands. Mailman also offers a number of configurable options for individual list owners, including spam filtering and list archiving.

File Shares

Description

Shared file storage for FAS faculty and staff and Central Administration teams and workgroups. This storage space is managed through Windows Active Directory and allows for authentication and sharing with individuals, departments, or other groups for the purpose of collaboration.

SharePoint for Harvard provides a range of functionality for projects and teams, including the ability to manage documents in a secure central location.
